- Cottage Capacity – we do not like to overcrowd our cottages or the site. The maximum number of persons allowed in the cottages is either four (2 bedroom) or six (3 bedroom). Extra persons will be charged either by the daily rate of $25.00 or weekly $85.00. Extra persons includes babies and children as they too use the facilities (beach, play area) water, power and septic and produce garbage.
- Visitors – Visitors to the site must be pre-approved and will be charged the daily rate of $5.00. Visitors remaining in the cottages after 10.00 p.m. will be presumed overnight guests (if the cottage capacity permits) and will be changed at the nightly rate of $25.00. Visitors must pay for any pets they bring onto the site at the daily rate of $20.00.
- Booking deposit - is $125.00 for a weekend and $200.00 for a weekly booking.
- Payment – Payment of your cottage is due the day you arrive although we are more than happy for you to settle into your cottage first. Payment accepted by cash, Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Debit card.
- Check in time – for all rentals please do not check in before 2.00 p.m. This allows us time to prepare your cottage and ensure everything is ready for your arrival. We reserve the right to re-book your cottage if you do not arrive by 6.00 p.m. unless by prior arrangement.
- Check out time – for weekly guests 9.00 a.m. please. This allows us time to prepare the cottage for the next guests. For weekend guests we prefer a check out time of 12.00 noon but this can be extended on request if possible.
- Boat Rentals – Boats must be returned to the site before dark. People under the age of 18 are not permitted to operate motor boats. Maximum of 4 persons per boat or total weight of 475 lbs. All boats include life jackets which must be worn at all times. Renters are responsible for any damage to the boat or motor and will be charged accordingly. No storage of gas permitted in or around the cottages or anywhere on the Hi-Lo Lodge site. Additional gas may be purchased on site at local marina rates.
- Pets – are permitted only with prior authorisation from Hi-Lo Lodge. Proof of current vaccinations may be required. Dogs must be on a leash at all times and are not permitted on the beach or play area. Owners are required to clean up after their dog.
- Cancellation policy – Deposits are refundable with 45 days notice less a $45.00 cancellation fee. No refund is available for late arrivals or early departures. All rates and policies subject to change without notice.
- Campfires – are not permitted. There is a central fire pit and wood is provided.
- General – Guests are responsible for the actions and safety of their children and visitors. Please respect your fellow guests when moving about the site. Quiet time from 11.00 p.m. No excessive noise at any time. Please keep grounds clear and safe from litter etc and use the garbage containers provided. The minimum stay is 2 nights – because of the time taken to prepare your cottage. Sorry, but we cannot accommodate single night bookings.
